What did you do in the garden today?

The broccoli, cabbage, spinach, beets and onions are all starting to sprout out in the garden. Nothing yet from the carrots. All but Matt’s Wild Cherry tomatoes have started sprouting. And while I was closing up the chicken coop I turned around to find to huge Great Pyrenees walking through the yard and one was limping so I called them over and they came and know they are locked in the bachelor pen. Friendly dogs walking up has exclusively meant someone’s dog has gotten out and is lost in the 7 years since we’ve moved here. We had one hound walk up that it turned out was over 20 miles from home once. Posted on Facebook to see if we can find the owners

Wow a pair of them huh. Who has goats or cattle close to you
Basically every neighbor for 20 miles. We are in the middle of farm land. I think I saw them yesterday on the other side of river from us which is part of the reason I called to see if they’d come. There’s really no telling where they came from. I pass so many on the way to town. They are very popular around here even just as family dogs. A friend of ours who lives nearby actually used to breed them up until a few years ago.

Honestly I’m just praying they don’t decide to dig out overnight. I’d hate to fill in a Pyrenees sized hole. So far the only Facebook responses are the one from people saying that they’ve been seen over half the county this week.
Check Craigslist for your area too. Somebody might have posted there as well.

Hope they can be gotten home safely.

Today is my birthday! I worked my 12 hour shift and then when I got home hubby and I went to a Japanese restaurant where they cook at the table for you! I thought I was taking a video of the chef trying to toss broccoli into each persons' mouth but apparently I did not start the video until I thought I was turning it off! :lau :lau
My oldest brother asked what I was going to use my birthday money for ( yes, I just turned 59 and I still get birthday money! LOL, not complaining!). I told him either a new yard cart/wagon, or new grow lights or a seed mat (like I have heard some of you talk about).
I was wondering if anyone starts their onion sets inside in pots, but it looks like @WthrLady was posting about needing to get hers potted up, so I will try that this year too.

Do you have some where you can take them to get scanned to see if they are chipped?

We can get the scanned at the vet or the pound. We will take them in a day or two if we don’t hear from anyone. That is provided we can get them in the car. The larger one is probably 4 feet tall standing flat footed (including its head). Happy Birthday!
