Same here as well. I LOVE the San Marzano's I've gotten so far, but the majority are still green on the plant and slow to mature since we're getting rain now. We're due for a few sunny days in the next week though, but after that I'll probably strip the plants and see how many ripen in a paper bag.
Most of the garden is done, except basil, a few carrots, a lot of apples and pumpkins and some squash or melon I don't recognize (I was random planting the squash seeds, to use up old ones) I hope it's a real "something" and not a cross-pollinated thing.
I stripped the eggplants, except one plant that's still putting out flowers (?!) so I left it for now. Also stripped the beans and cukes, though we might still get a few more cukes for salads, to go with the little bit of fall lettuce and spinach. Hoping for some fall cabbage, but the plants are still small and it's getting pretty late.
Harvested my sunflowers and hung them up in the carport, where they won't get rained on, hopefully they'll get lots of air to dry out.
I've been madly processing, and got through another canner-full (with my new canner that I love) of tomato sauce, two triple recipes of cucumber soup that are now in the freezer, and pickled one giant zucchini, the rest I need to shred and either freeze or make fritters.
I'm running out of room in the freezer! And I still have so much basil to harvest - I'll probably end up pressure-canning pesto. Anyone near Tacoma, WA want as much fresh basil as you can take? I really mean it - too much will go to waste otherwise.
Today it rained just about all day, so I cleaned my kitchen, did laundry, and planted some bulbs in containers in between raindrops. I should have processed those zucchini, but didn't want to wreck my clean kitchen, so we ordered pizza and watched a movie.
