So glad I’m on a septic tank. WTSHTF I’ll still be able to use the potty! Glass half full. Lol!I have worked in critical infrastructure for my entire 25+ year career. I also work with emergency management at all levels (local, state, and federal). I have been through preparedness training for every kind of scenario imaginable, including EMP. Here's what ought to scare you. There is a very small, very old group of experts who advise Congress and the DoD on EMP. They have been warning for decades about what would happen should we be hit. It's not just a one and done type scenario. Did you know that North Korea has 2 satellites positioned over the US that could trigger an EMP at any time? Did you know that one of the worst dangers from an EMP are city septic and waste management plants? There are motorized lifts that keep those systems moving. If they shut down for more than 4 hours, the sludge in them will solidify. The only fix at that point is rip and replace. That effectively destroys an entire city's waste removal. Now you have the potential for a humanitarian health crisis complicated by disease, contaminated water, etc. Scary stuff.
@Elyrian1 we have not seen you for a while. are you ok?
I wouldn't know. I'm pretty archaic.OK got it. If you select CC the pay button shows up.
If you want PP, you have to click on the yellow PP button, which takes you to log in for paypal and then through them. Archaic, but works.
Yup, agreed.Honestly, if it comes to that we're all screwed in every way, so I can't even find myself worrying about it.
