What did you do in the garden today?

We just got done putting up a privacy fence and gate in the front yard so now our whole yard is fenced in and the chickens have more room to run free on:

We built one of these for our chickens too..... Sadly it didn't even last one season. Even though it was NOT placed in direct sunlight, the hot weather broke down the plastic pretty quickly. I'd like to build another one but maybe with a heavy duty tub instead of a cheap plastic one.
I had my suspicions, thanks for the info. I’m probably going to get a secondary tub to keep on hand for the same reason.

ANother funny.
DH and I apparently lost all our senses and wanted to eat lunch on the deck. It's borderline miserable out there, but we sat down on the high chairs at the high top table and started eating.
Brrrrrp.
"Excuse YOU" I quipped to DH.
He laughed, 'What WAS that?"
We go back to eating.
BRRRRRRRP.
"Seriously?! Is that a FROG?" He asked.
"Yep, it's up here somewhere, and has been for days. It's been driving me NUTS, but it's never been THIS loud."
So I climb off my chair and start looking under the table top, under the chair seats.
BRRRRRRRRP, it's like an A-10 attacking enemy tanks.
I check the deck chairs, under the grill, BRRRRRRRRRRRP.
Move the propane tank, crawl under the dining set BRRRRRRRRRRP, crunch crunch (DH was eating cheetos) BRRRRRRRP
Dang it WHERE is it?!
I move the old umbrella stand the one with the broken support tube, not under there, but looking out of the tube is a little, squishy tree peeper frog as small as a quarter, but living in a long steel tube, an echo chamber.
He sounded like a bullfrog and being 25 feet up on a deck, he was broadcasting for a mate clear across the valley.
I took him down to ground level where he might actually meet a Mrs. Right, or Mrs, Ribbit.
I feel like we're infested!

I'm digging out the sod on the "straighten the fence" project. While doing this, I am finding LOTS of grubs. Yay for the chickie snack, but boo for the :ducgrubs.

Freya was out with me, "helping" me dig. Until she took off. She was gone for 45 minutes and scared the crap out of me. I have no idea where she went. I was walking and calling, calling and crying, and she came back like nothing happened.

She had done so well off leash this morning. Maybe she saw a deer...? Back to on leash for a while yet. But she's home safe, and that's what matters.

The physical shape of the 1 acre Dyna Mosquito Trap is 6 to 10 times bigger than the 3/4 acre Dyna Mosquito Trap. Its huge and the the fan blades are larger. This will probably clear 6 residential properties of mosquitos. I already had a 3/4 Dyna Mosquito Trap, but ordered the 1 acre for back up. I didn't think it would be so big.....................

I would absolutely DIE if my Freya disappeared for 45 minutes.
