What did you do in the garden today?

So sorry for your loss @Elyrian1. Yes, I agree @Sueby it’s been feeling a little tropical here as well. It was 70F when I got up this morning. We got a little over an inch of rain from Nicole’s remnants. The wind is blowing in a cold front now. Back to the real November temps tomorrow morning. Yesterday I went with DD to have my Veteran’s Day lunch. This evening we’re going to play Meat Bingo. This is a fundraiser for our local food pantry. We’ve never been so we thought it would be fun. I ordered extra compost and fertilizer to be delivered. I only have maybe one day to get the leaves blown out of the back yard. It’s supposed to rain again Sunday then rain and snow showers on Wednesday. I’m really hoping these cooler temps will stop these windy days. I’m not a windy day person.
Our temps dropped like a rock and got sleet/snow this morning 🙈

Good afternoon gardeners. The oldest helped me so much today! We got the shed done, started a new pile for bulk trash, added a heaping wheelbarrow full of bougainvillea to one of the compost bins and moved some things on the patio. I have enough room in the shed for all my gardening supplies again including the wheelbarrow and the shredder. We moved a pile of other stuff out to the other compost pile to break down some, and I cleaned out the fire pit. Going to have a fire and an adult hot chocolate this evening. I have a bunch of aloe pups I need to yank, might transplant a few of those to new spots. I have another succulent type thing in front that I think would do better back there and then just fill in with a few trailing rosemary plants between the succulents. The aloe pups are great for adding greens to the composting dry materials from our storm clean up. I transplanted all the creeping thyme and creeping rosemary today out near the olive tree. That’s a high spot in the yard and the compost pile used to be there so they should do well. Time for a shower and then dinner. The only thing left to do out there is the shade garden :yesss:

Yesterday, shortly after I posted, I received word that my Dad passed away suddenly. They think it was a clot in his lung. Thank you all, for all the well wishes that you sent my way. Really means a lot. I may not be on much for a while. There's a lot to do.

sorry for your loss:hugs

I sure did enjoy those 20 minutes of Fall we got last week. This is at 7:30 AM with the sun up, meaning it was even colder overnight. So much for any more goodies from the garden. I still had watermelons, some okra and the majority of the tomato crop ripening out there.
