What did you do in the garden today?

Last 4 rows of sweet corn to process today. :) It's really good. I'm going to cook some up as a side dish with the meatloaf tonight.

I meant these, I also have them in my garden , but… no guarantee ! They look like mine, but I am not there to see them 🙈
I will have to go look!
My flat leaf parsley plant that's blooming is attracting a lot of tiny pollinators. I think they're some kind of tiny wasp. ????????

Edited to add:

I just found this using a BIING image search.

So I think that's what I have here. And they are a good thing to have in a garden because they are parasites of a lot of garden pests!

I guess it was a good idea to let my parsley plant overwinter and bloom in my garden in its second year.

Those are the ones that kill tomato hornworms I believe. Good ones to have.

My coworker brought me a new fig tree! 😍

Good afternoon gardeners. This morning was a nice refreshing 59F when I first got up. Less humidity today but still sunny and 82F currently. Picked another half pound of green beans this morning. I was weeding out the row of carrots that were growing with the peas and I was very disappointed. I accidentally pulled a carrot up and it was not quite 2 inches long. My dogs enjoyed the little treat but good golly. All this time growing and they aren’t eating sized yet. I bought the seed tape carrots this year. Never again, I’ll stick to my Danvers half long from now on. The cherry tomatoes are doing great. The eggplants are growing really well. Five of the sunflowers I planted are about 16 inches tall now. I measured the corn stalks and over half of them are up to my hip now. I did a little weeding in there and in the nightshade garden. The backyard is getting a bit raggedy but the ground is still too squishy to mow. I may be able to mow the front yard tomorrow afternoon if the rain holds off until evening. I also grabbed some more cardboard out of the garage to put into the big garden. I guess I had a busier day than I thought. My old fig tree that I thought had died over the winter is full of baby figs now. Hopefully I’ll get a few ripe ones before the chipmunks steal them all.

I went through the big bags of seed packets I found in my mother's gardening shed. She MUST have received these through Master Gardeners or something. I'm certain she didn't buy them. Some of these seeds she has literally a gazillion packets of (basil, cilantro, bunching onions, sunflowers, zinnias, etc). I have ZERO ideas what to do with all of it. I might use some of it but certainly not this much... Good Lord, I could plant a entire acre of basil and Sunflowers and STILL have tons left over.

Donate to a good thrift store like Habitat for Humanity.

Or maybe a senior center or adult day care could use them for projects?

My mom planted Nantes Half Long. I tried growing them this year and had great results. The greens I gave to the chickens, and BOY did they love them.

@Sueby thanks for asking. Charlie is ready to come home but mentally I’m not sure. He has such a tough road ahead of him and his frustration level is very low.
Hopefully they can get rid of the tremors ( which were much worse today ). They said they thought physical activity brought out more tremors. The tremors cause him to drop things, spill things and just really frustrate him.
His wife said this evening they told her the stopped the one medication and put him on a different one. So hopefully that problem will be resolved.
They decided today when I went up to the hospital to learn how to do his dressing changes that he wasn’t coming home yet after all. Not sure on the reasoning but that gives us time to get things like a shower chair and other things he will need.
His mental state is my biggest concern at the moment.
