What did you do in the garden today?

I sprayed the spiders around my aqua culture tank with straight apple cider vinegar this morning. I'll find out if they die tomorrow, they laughed off the hydrogen peroxide the other day.

I'll try lime next, since I have so many of them falling off my small 3 feet tree.

I have been killing gnats with 3tbs hydrogen peroxide mixed with 32 oz of water in a spray bottle.

I will buy a lot of milk today to combat powdery mildew around my garden.

I had powdery mildew on squash one year. I ground up eggshells fine and threw the powder on the dew covered leaves. worked great

My dang phone wouldn't focus on the flower!

But the bee surely did.:)

I finished “Chloe proofing” the picket fence on the side of the big garden. I also worked on cutting the weeds down in the asparagus bed. Also snipped wire and weeds to clear area where the new wire fence is going for that garden area. I'm still taking things slow to let my left leg fully recover. I let the hens roam around the chicken yard while I was out there. The grounds is still frozen so I can't turn any dirt or do a whole lot of clean up yet. It's raining lightly now. The temperature is 44F so not horrible and I don't need to shovel it. LOL! It looks like the chicks I plan on getting will be at least 7 days apart so I ordered an extra brooder plate to avoid any bullying from the older chicks. What a pleasant surprise, the cost is almost 50% lower than what I paid for my original one. The chicks will be ready the first week of April so I have plenty of time to prepare. Also, they will be settled in before any major gardening. I was hoping to let the grandkids do the store pick up, however the chicks arrive on a Friday morning each week and they can't just take off school for that. DD is going to show them the list of what we hope to get so they can learn about them. I picked some Easter Eggers so they can have fun with the colored eggs.
