What did you do in the garden today?

Yes. I've seen videos of people who rent goats for a day or so. They set up temporary electric fencing where needed, add goats. There's none near me. Maybe I will open my own rent-a-goat service! :gig
That would be cool!
DH said, we’ll just buy a goat! I know less about goats than chickens.

My stepdad cleaned up some sharp objects over here in Ohio.

Windy, with a chance you need a new deck table 🙃😐😐😐
This is why I have been mystified about glass tables in general.
My brother had a glass dinning room table and the dog would look at you while were eating. Bad enough when they are next to your chair but a Great Dane right at your plate is hysterical when something "accidentally" falls on the table.... until the table broke

But they do look pretty when dressed or staged. Just never had an animal looking at me from under! We got rid of our when kids came bc I didn’t want to make ER visit

I got a good 1/3 of the garden cardboarded & mulched. I didn't have enough cardboard to do the lower part. That's more work than I've done in the last 2 years (cuz of my back surgeries). Felt good to move. I may regret it tmrw tho. :lau

Butterfly weed looks like it's going to burst soon. The wild violets were choking it out this year so it's a little sparse.
Very nice!

I check for cardboard sheets whenever we go to the grocery store. The ones between pallets of water are usually pretty strong.

You can sautée or roast the radishes. You might enjoy them that way.
I air fried them like chips last time & they were great!
Found the 'leaks'. I missed putting the end caps on two of the main lines. HA!
Haha, at least it was an easy fix!

Iris & Spiderwart blooming.

Girls made quick work of spreading the chips.

Bean towers are strung. Need to plant some more bean seeds.

Following the carrot video (posted by @Smokerbill i recall), I soaked carrot seeds in water for a few days. Today made cornstarch gel and mixed in the carrot seeds. Then, using a plastic bag, spread them in a trench. Usually one doesn’t soak seeds for days, so they may be dead. But, carrot seeds are notoriously hard to get going bc they really are sensitive to drying out, which this method helps to bypass. Anyway, here’s the last row before being covered with dirt. There are 5 rows, one row per variety.

If all the carrot seeds I planted take off, well, I’ll be in carrots thru 2025, I think.

My cats are the same
