So I ordered a elliptical trainer came today.

What's going on with my rhubarb? Leaves are turning brown, dying. I have another one that looks MUCH better.

This is the second year for both plants. The first was a purchased crown, the second is a split from a neighbor's plant.

What I've seen online is pointing to crown rot, which is caused by a fungus. The only treatment is to dig up the plant, burn it, and start over. (Betsy....? can I get another split off yours?)

The fungus remains in the soil for a few years, so I'd have to plant somewhere else.

Blanched green beans tonight and put them on a tray to freeze.

Cleaned a bunch more ground cherries. Thinking about making Apple-Ground Cherry pie for 4rh of July.

I think I'm going to clean out the cukes beds and try one more time to plant pole beans there... Can't hurt.

I have a hollyhock seedling that came up where the old plant was. It's about 2 inches tall.

Is there a way to encourage it to grow a bit before the end of the season? How do I take it through winter?

I picked 6 honeycomb cherry tomatoes and 3 little 'I forget what they are giant salad cherry' tomatoes (the kind you cut into 1/4s).
Lots of peas out there.
Also picked about 8 ounces of blackberries.
I planted 4 rescue Kentucky coffee trees.
HOT and humid this evening, Cicadas are singing and storms are rolling in.
