What did you do in the garden today?

County right of way; is that like an easement? Still your property? Right of way doesn't mean "right to abuse/neglect"
It's like that annoying bit of land between a sidewalk and street. It reflects on your upkeep of your home, you are required to take care of and maintain it, but you don't own it. For me its a 15 foot wide swath of 500 yards of maintained wildflower/pollinator habitat and the end of my access driveway to my service road/pastures.

are pig feet smoked? fermented food is good with smoked meat. we usually make sauerkraut with smoked pig ribs or feet and some smoked bacon. it tastes better with some fat.
They don't sell smoked pig feet where I live, they only sell smoked shanks and ham hocks. The pig feet I used were raw, and they have a lot of meat on them. Pig feet soup in my area were introduced by the Filipino culture exchange and are typically flavored with vinegar.

The melting pot theory of multiculturalism assumes that various immigrant groups will tend to “ melt together,” abandoning their individual cultures and eventually becoming fully assimilated into the predominant society.

Morning glories and a persimmon

This Cento brand tomato paste in a squeeze tube is the best tasting tomato paste I have ever tasted. It actual taste like vine ripe tomatoes and has a slight sweetness to it, and unlike the ones that come in a 6oz can, I can use the amount I want like a condiment, without any waste. In addition, the Cento tomato paste is bright red without any oil or discoloration.

Speaking of tomato paste, that's what I've decided to make with most of the rest of my tomatoes this year. Seems pretty easy, but it just takes a long time.

Cut up whole tomatoes, cook them for a while and strain out seeds, stems and cores. Then reduce the juice down until you can scoop out a rounded spoonful. I'll reduce it on the stove for a while then transfer it to my Crockpot to finish. It'll be canned in 8oz jelly jars.

I started the seed saving process for the three tomato varieties I'm going to plant next year.

The first was supposed to be a black krim tomato, but it made bright yellow fruits.

Second is from a plant that was supposed to be a Roma, but grew into a dwarf size plant with Roma shaped fruits.

Last is a volunteer tomato that made huge Roma type tomatoes. Its fruits are very meaty with little pulp. Should be good for canning.

The seeds and pulp need to rot for a few days until mold forms on top, then the seeds are rinsed clean and dried.
