What did you do in the garden today?

I think if I point a flash light at the possums that come to my garden, they probably show teeth like your possum. We just never get close enough to see much except a quick stared at us and then hurried off.

It is very sad that many of them get killed on the road or bitten by dogs. When I took my dogs for a walk, they found a joe hanging on to its dead mother possum. I took it to the RSPCA wild life secure which happen to be 5 minutes drive from my house. We also got Kangaroos running wild in fear as they walked out of the bushland near by onto the road.
Hard to find information that isn't about opossums 😂
But it seems like they are flesh eaters. Sounds like a full grown standard chock might be too big for them.

Our opossums look like giant nasty rats. That little thing is so cute!

Another web photo of possum in my city. The possums that come to my garden look like this photo.

I ordered an Ayers pear tree for this year!! They sounded great, so we ordered those along with Seckel and two regular type pears. I think the Ayers is a smaller pear, maybe similar in size to a Seckel pear.

My Stark order also got pushed back too. By one week. So supposed to be late April arrival.
Seckel also self-pollinates. A small sugar sweet pear. Fond memories. Ayers is a little bigger. Sweet but not as sweet as Seckel.

I can say the motion lights work for about a week with opossums. And they were out in the winter eating the dog's manure in the snow 🤮 the dog I have then would kill unless they played dead.
Yes, I imagine dog would kill a possum. My dogs are about the same size of the possums that come to our backyard, but my dogs are in door at night, they can only bark.
A lady I worked with told me possums ate all her flowers, and she wanted to kill them, but they are protected. They mainly go for my mango and paw paw trees so they high up.
