What did you do today?

Got up at 6:47 and fixed the chickens their oatmeal and dogfood. Went to church and after that had cheese fries and brownie/icecream. Got home and checked on the chickens, then got on BYC. Then I played horsey with the kids, went and fed the chickens. Now I'm on here again. Later I'll go back to church and then come home, get on here, then go to bed.

First thing this morning I got up and read my e-mails to see if speckledhen e-mailed me back about getting on her list for eggs. Replied to her e-mail. Got ready for church, put stew makings in a crock pot for dinner. Went to church where I squirmed because I wanted to know what speckledhen's reply was. Made a bee line out the door right after service so I could get home to read my e-mails. I'm now on her list for eggs.

Made breakfast, french toast and bacon for family, worked on school stuff, helped family rake leaves and clear dead plants (I think this is it for my tomatoes) took the chickens out for an hour once the sun reached the fenced in part of my yard, make Indian Pudding for my sons 5th grade class tomorrow and wrote out invitations to a Demarle at Home party...and it's only 5 pm!!! Pizza for dinner!

Got up and went to church with the family. Stayed for recorder choir practice. Came home and fixed lunch. Ate on the deck while discussing where we might locate the new chicken coop. Went letterboxing with my mother. Now I've delayed deciding what to fix for dinner so long that I'm stumped. Did the spaghetti thing last night so I can't get away with that again tonight....
sigh, guess computer fun time is over for a bit.

Oh, goody! A chance for a shameless plug!

I have spent the day photographing and adding to my Etsy Shop (link below) I added all kinds of baby stuff and am still adding. I still have to put new pillowcases (including chicken and cow ones) as well as new potholders.
Take a look!

Let's see, I am always up early, not by choice but by animals. Took the dogs out, fed them and cats, fed horses, let chickens out, came in and started cooking, cleaning, dishes. I try and do most of my cooking for the week on Sunday because by the time I get home from work I feel like I have been hit by a train, back out, cleaned coops lightly, filled all the feeders and waterers, daughter cleaned the barn and carried in some hay, got grains ready for PM. I actually was kind of caught up on the laundry so let that slide. Took dogs for a walk, it was a beautiful windy fall day.
Was thinking of putting up the plastic on the coop doors and getting all the heated buckets and bowls out but decided that can wait till next weekend. Supposed to be cold tonight but warming up tomorrow.
Was in the shower by 5:30pm, heard the dogs barking and flipping out, got out of the shower no one was here. Oh well. Went out at 6:15pm to lock up the chickens and there is a wooden crate in one of my chicken pens. I open it up and there is a RIR youngish hen and a little tan mixed bantie girl. I found a friend of mine some chickens and ducks on craigslist and she must have went and picked them up today and dropped these two off for me!!!!!!
That was my day and I really wish tomorrow was Sunday again.

Planted garlic and onions, cleaned out the shop a little.... played with the chickens;it goes on. Sundays are great.
