I LOVE THAT! You have a creative golden artistic touch. My goodness... I would not change a thing and I bet yours is way easier to deal with than mine is. I have to be careful how it schlep it around or my back may regret it. It is pretty safe though, I'm not sure your is Forest proof lol.

Try for babies! Then you have something to remember him by! We still have Spider…the dude flaked on me so I’m back to square 1. Gonna just be patient a bit longer and wait for the right person!

It's definitely indoor only...though it does do well at keeping kitties out. We've raised two indoor only kitties and have a middle-aged one and an old one that come and go...they definitely have an interest but none are willing to even try jumping up there. Heavy or not, I still like yours...roomy, baby safe and looks good to boot. Faith is a pretty girl! I bet she could hatch pea eggs with all that fluffy real estate!

Just got back from a 2 hour drive to the hardware store. Well the one we like to go to because it’s cheaper. The places around here is just ridiculous on the prices. I spent 44.95 for a 3’x50’ fence for the duck coop. And needed 3 of them to finish it. If I got it here, it was closer to $70 for a roll of the same size. Anyway, just crazy prices.

But I have everything to finish the duck coop now. I’m so excited about it! But now it’s just finding time for myself and husband to finish it. Just so much to do and not enough time to do it all. Speaking of a lot to do, my daughter has practice tonight and they are going to be starting stunts. Kinda nervous about that but they don’t toss her or anything. She maybe “small” but health wise she can’t be. She is stronger than she looks.

My cockerel has been doing ok. At least with me. He hasn’t been able to really get on any of the girls so that is a positive. But he is trying so hard. he chases them and gets the neck feathers and they get away and he just stands there looking at them like “Oh come on!” I have to laugh. I tell him, “dude, no one wants it. You will be ok, they will be ready soon enough”. I hope he doesn’t turn out to be a butt cause it will hurt to have to get rid of him.

It really is pretty adorable...he may be moving himself back into the keep him group...my big lavender Orpington rooster has started acting a bit skittish and makes me slightly nervous...so he may be the one to go instead. It's just so hard because they are always the prettiest chickens!! And he and Roxy are so bonded, but I don't want to give her up! Sighhh why can't it be simple?

Must be fate! I picked Spider because he's not exactly what I wanted for a rooster for my ladies...was thinking having an Orpington rooster would be better since I have Orpingtons and my only Polish pullets died He also wasn't very nice to Roxy when I tried some supervised integration which really surprised me. He's still young enough that he may not know exactly how to woo and she is still young enough to act like she's being murdered when they attempt to mate...so it may have just been a miscommunication but the aggression bothered me. Maybe he was just having a rough day! Also since I have two Polish and I'm almost certain the frizzled one is a boy too...I didn't need two of them so I picked the one that was more dominant and potentially less accommodating in the flock dynamics. It's tough when they're teenagers! I think I will give him more time. See how he matures.

Well, how many boys can you keep? Spider is pretty amazing and I bet your lavender orp is too. What are your reasons for keeping the others? Breeding? They are cockerels and you are still selecting? Yes, I think WE need more time it is to sudden for us.
