Oh! She sounds a real character, absolutely full of personality! My old English teacher had their ear bitten off by a pony. I'm so glad your little equine didn't manage to get your face! What a little bugger that pony was! We had a pony too for years. She was 3 when we got her and it took three people to catch her. That first year she'd periodically try to bite me in the face...good thing for all of us that she never succeeded! My youngest trained her for riding and used to ride her all over when she was still little and that little horse would always try to swing under low branches to scrap the load off her back. But by then she'd also come running if you whistled, steal treats from your pocket (and beer if you set one down) and if you called and started running, she'd thunder up, race past, circle and run with you. She was just a joy.
O ..Mochi just has to be ok! He's such a gorgeous little doll. Hoping he's found already or soon!
That mulch looks devine! Bet the chooks are in heaven searching it for goodies. All our trees here have the tiniest leaves you've ever seen. Worthless...lol. If we want mulch we have to run the wood chipper or visit the store. Might be why I like turning the dirt.

I remember my horsey friends and I trying to teach a non-horsey friend to ride. The pony we put her on was the most ridiculously docile plod. You could barely make him trot most of the time. Well, she was no sooner on his back than the little bugger took off across the field at a full-on gallop and leapt the 5ft post and rail! Needless to say, thst was the end of riding lessons for her
