What fun and a new addictionToday , I have been improving the living conditions, by cleaning, replacing bedding, and I‘m so excited my incubator came in the mail, so. I’m planning a visit to a friends house to set it up and learn from her as she is very experienced and has used the same one for years
That is super exciting!!! What kind did you get/? New incubator is a little intimidating but by your 3rd time you will be an old handToday , I have been improving the living conditions, by cleaning, replacing bedding, and I‘m so excited my incubator came in the mail, so. I am looking forward to getting the old one out of the window!More than a tad jealous of your A/C. The dog days of summer are approaching fast. Would be thrilled with a wall unit... congrats on the split!!!
$$ well spent.I am looking forward to getting the old one out of the window!
It is a big one, 15K btu. The mini split is 18 Kbtu.
It will cost me to take it to the land fill but I will be happy to see it go!
They’re getting so big! And your rooster is beautiful. He’s looks so fluffy, I want to hug him.Hi gang, this thread has been awfully quiet and such a good crowd too. Hmmm, I guess It's time to bump italways a hope for more beautiful photos
.
Well, I I have tried to reintroduce Bolt, my Dark Brahma to his girls but they don't want anything to do with him. He is not polite or savvy or charming and it has me rethinking my plans for breeding. Good news is I did plan to have another plan... right? A plan B!!!!
That means I will take out wall panel to roo coop and just keep 1 couple in there with more breathing room. The other color roos will have to be cooped and that possibly puts Jumping Jack back up for sale again. Whatever.... moving on.
Picked up a few more fans and cords and splitters for mini coop and rooster coop so hope to get them hooked up in a day or so.
My broody is on (I THINK...) day 17 or 18. So I won't worry about opening the door for her to go scream at everyone and dust bathe. I just hope she has not pooped on her eggs again as I have not seen any of her monster dropping in awhile. Well, I have the brooder all cleaned and ready and am on chirp alert. I guess I will find out soon!
I am insanely thinking of incubating a bunch of eggs now as I just had a very successful rehoming of 3 cockerels...I am exhausting...
The kittens are awesome and amazing and silly and yes, home. I let them wander the back lanai a few times and that was big. I have started introducing crunchies and may get the opportunity to make the cat tree yet! It will be on the back deck as DH squashed my dreams on an inside one. I am sure he will change his mind eventually.

That’s awesome! Any idea what you’re going to hatch yet? Any particular breeds?Today , I have been improving the living conditions, by cleaning, replacing bedding, and I‘m so excited my incubator came in the mail, so. Do you trim them around the face they have large headdressI babysat the neighbors dog yesterday, so the birds spent about half of the day locked up. It was the first time she (the dog) came over, and I expected her to try to get to them, but she only sniffed the cages a few times when she first arrived, and then ignored them most of the day. She was such a good girl.
Today I added more dirt to the runs, and rotated the caged birds around so everyone had a turn in the grass. Normally I can only do one or two groups a day, but it was a nice out and they all laid pretty early, so there were no issues. I didn’t take a lot of pictures of everyone, but I did get some of my Polish.
