I’m not on for 1 day and you guys have like 3 pages for me to catch up on.

Nothing got done yesterday but I’m hoping to get more done today. I gotta get the kids costumes done though. But they also won’t take long…pretty easy.

Yall I had a big long post here last night ... mostly whining ...yeah I'll spare yall the details cuz after that post and another with zero replies I decided to delete my whinin.
As I sit here with Joey in garage ICU I'm reminded of how I am taken care of and loved by God Almighty...even when I feel all alone, like noone gives a crap, etc.
This ole bootyhead has done a lot of well...bootyhead stuff and yet I still luv him.
Just need some hugs, prayers n care myself.

Oh my goodness, what happened? Why is Joey suddenly in ICU?!!
I'm sure it was not whining- probably legit complaining. I hope everything sorts itself out. Glad you have a great&full heart to keep you company. You two (3 w/miss kurby) are in my good thoughts and I hope I get to heart of a good turnaround soon ♡♡♡

I didn’t get to do any chickening today…had a bunch of work stuff and then spent the rest of the day feeling very ill Not sure what’s up but definitely in a lot of pain today :-( Can’t keep anything down either so I’m super hungry Made the children do chicken things and slept a bunch! Hopeful tomorrow is a better day!

Oh gosh @kurby, sorry your feeling bad. Hope today is better. Glad you have auto doors and little experienced helpers on the ready. How'd they do ♡? How are you feeling today?

I stopped putting posts up because when you do, you don’t get responses, you get responses that aren’t about what your asking or talking about…it’s things inside of what you are saying that gets picked around at or people can just be flat out rude. I always come here with things that I have questions about or my day.

Well...I have my kids planning our drive home and that's been interesting...lol. Apparently we're going to decide where to stop tonight when we have lunch today. Not my normal way, but the kids are having a blast and hopefully learning a lot about planning trips.....?
I'm so glad I gave us a flexible date to be home by...I told everyone we'd be back the 25th or by the 28th at the latest. My mom asked us to stay one more day ...so we're leaving Spokane today. No hotel booked for tonight and no firm decision on our route as of bedtime last night........my kids are grinning and I'm practicing breathing and not worrying.
Ah, what was I thinking .
At least I know that one way or another, we'll get there....lol.

Sounds like a terrific exercise in surrender ♡ lol. Hope the the girls keep enjoying their sport- and being young and impulsive and fun. I remember when... bonus torturing mom

So I decided to go ahead and start on Halloween costumes. I went to go to my truck to get the fabric glue and just in time too. My chickens got out of the run….I was so cold this morning that I forgot to lock the run door so it didn’t blow open. And they come running to me when they see me…made me wanna cry. It’s kinda like going and picking up your preschooler or young kiddo from like daycare and they are running to you. Although my chickens ran to me for treats….I don’t care, I love it! . I got them in just in time too cause the farmer that owns 2/3 of the property around us decided to start taking the corn out. AND I found a bunch of water under the chickens water container. I looked and sure enough there is a crack in it. So I got them situated with water and some corn…which this time they all came in without problems.

I try to edit out the garbage lol. Like all gardens it is a work in progress.
You are waaaay ahead of the game IMO. Your spot is beautiful I do wonder what your winter will bring though. Seems like the weather could really come at you with all that flatland.

I know! I check this thread early in my morning and it's like little squirrels were playing while I slept. Its fun. Unfortunately when it goes too fast I miss stuff.

I get that. This thread is my only constant. We have a kind crowd here.
**The ignore button works wonders for the habitually rude. Personally, my life is too good and too short to entertain the perpetually sour, self important or generic butthead. I'm not qualified. I am my own work in progress lol

It will I’m sure. We did have the property during the winter and came here every morning to get the kids on the bus. Was a lot but worth it because of the school we left and what all happened there. Anyway, we got A LOT of snow. But anymore the weather is so unpredictable. One year there can be a lot of snow and the next there is none. It used to be that there would be snow up to 4’ or more high. Now, it is touch and go but at most we have really got is a foot. I’m more worried about the wind. The wind is going to be so bad. I need to put a barrier up on their fence to somewhat stop it. And it will work for snow whenever that comes. At least keep it down some so it isn’t as deep. But I do have straw or hay….my step dad gave it to me, to put down on the snow for some of them to walk on.

And thank you btw! I crop out some of our mess too. I was really hoping to have more of the herbs this year but they got eaten by the wild rabbits. I thought about planting the bleeding hearts. I just wouldn’t want them to weigh down the netting on the top. But I plan on planting Sunflowers next year somewhere around the coop. Just gonna have to find out which herbs are going to be able to come back and which ones won’t.
