What did you do with your flock today?

Well today we went and got 2 more goats. They don’t have names yet, though my husband has tried a few, I just am not sure yet. They are glued to each other and YupYup isn’t sure about them being around me. Time, time is all I need, but sometimes feels like I don’t have enough of it.

Ah, sorry, different kind of ginger. We have a red ginger

That grows well everywhere on isle but Kekaha. We are hot, dry with sand loam so if I want to grow it I have to work at it, especially b4 established.
Never tried chewing on the leaf of the other but will and let you know. I have some of that started too.
My chicken sat at my pots of succulents, snacking for years till no more. They also strip the bark off my Ti plants. I'll catch the alphas quiet and congregated and realize they stripped another! Lol. Little stinkers.
If they don't eat it, they excavate it. My poor primrose patch is no more. Now that they are in theyr own space, maybe my flower beds can be replanted and stay nice. I have the cat to catch the bunnies that like to eat stuff down to the ground, sometimes.

I think a new pullet is laying, as I find the egg just outside the box, and a couple in the run or coop lately. My cockerel Ertugrul sure looks huge! I'll try to get a picture comparison. I think he may be taking after his grampa, who was a huge cream legbar that I was told stood 24" tall.
New layers and stunning roosters ♡♡♡ wonderful!

Aren't they just the cutest!

Ertugrul and his gramps sound magnificent ❤️ I bet gramps made predator's pause and think twice!

That's so pretty! I think I've seen a similar ornamental ginger grown over here as a tender perennial and over-wintered in the greenhouse. I might look for some come spring. Trouble is, I forget to bring them indoors for winter. Just realised this morning I've left my chocolate cosmos out in the sub zero temperatures. Guess I can kiss that plant goodbye :(

🤣🤣That Shire must have been amazing 😍 - size alone has to be incredible ♡♡♡. I mean, practically a house!
Yeah, me too when I was young from my pony who I was positive did it on purpose. Used to seek my foot and then pivot. Ouch but things hurt less when young. We spit, rub dirt and move on. Oh to be young again 😉 DH was cleaning and treating Hombres foot with a Durasol to help strengthen his hooves. Hombre has gotten touchy about his back right and fired it down. I don't see any bruising and there is not much swelling at all but he says it hurts and it is best to let him watch the Pipline Pro while I pick up his chores lol. Suddenly I see the motive 😂😂😂 I'm sure he will be back at it asap. He got us out of walking the Christmas parade this eve too lol. Bah humbug!
Oh he was! Pure white apart from 3-4 dapples on one shoulder. He was called Sampson and was a real gentle giant. He was absolutely terrified of newspaper. I adored him. Although technically he was a show horse, he could plough, was ridden and could jump - if the mood took him!

Little bugger! But ponies are often sneakier than horses in my experience. When l used to help show my friend's welsh ponies, the little sods were always taking sly bites out of us, the dogs, cats...you name it. Once, my friend's little sister was in first place on one of them at a show - until the pony snaked his neck round and sunk his teeth into her leg. Fastest I've ever seen a competitor go from first to last place. Of course my friend blamed little sis all the way home. Said she shouldn't have screamed and attracted the judge's attention! 🤣

If you ever have the space and want to give em a try just give me a poke. I'm always happy to send free eggs to anyone on here who'd like. Shipping is awfully hard on eggs, but I have had a couple people succeed hatching them.

A sinkhole! That sounds like no fun. Any idea what caused it and any worries because of it?

Your lovely babies are lucky to have you. ❤️
Oh, I'd love some! Don't think they'd fare well with international shipping unfortunately :(
