What did your chickens do today?

Scared the crap out of me! I wish he could just sleep like a normal chicken :(

My pastured chickens had not experienced a real rainstorm until today. 6 of them proved to be rather dimwittted as they could not find the open door and were huddled against the fencs getting soaked. Had to literally catch each one and throw them in the pen before they drowned!

I put my chicks in there pen today to play..... They played and played and then when i wanted to put them back in my garage under the heat lamp they ran from me because they didnt want to go back up

Our chickens got scared to death of the weed wacker today. They had a mad stampede into the coop as soon as it turned on. We just used it two days ago, and they had no reaction.. today they were scared to death!

Oh my goodness this is so cute! Did she ride the whole trip with you? I can't wait until the hubby gets up and I can show him your pictures. We're river rats ourselves. This looks like the Tallapoosa River out near the Muscadine, AL area.
Yes, she stayed for the entire ride. The best part is that it's right in my backyard. I was surprised at how calm she was. It didn't go so well the last time I brought a (different) chicken.

I dont think I will ever get used to the dead chicken sleep look.
I would've flipped out - I never knew chickens would just SLEEP like PigPen does. I thought they always roosted or at least huddled down on their haunches! lol Shows what I know, eh? About the time you figure out the rules of having chickens....the chickens up and change them!

I've never seen another chicken sleep like that. We always had them when I was a kid. I think that since he's always indoors and around our cats, he's kind of picked up some of their behaviors.
