hey, it always good too see peoples setup, feed, etc. Bio might welcome you...
nice loft!! How deep is your water?
I like to use the 1 gal. plastic milk jugs. Cut a hole about 3-4 inches above the bottom so they can stick their head in to drink. I'll use one for a few weeks, then recycle it and make a new one. I put a tablespoon or so of apple cider vinegar in the water. This promotes gut health and retards the growth of bacteria in the water. I give fresh water everyday.View attachment 2310801
I just use these chicken waterers and a nail a metal dish over them because otherwise the pigeons sit on top of them and load it with poop in less than an hour.
What breeds do you have? I don't want mine making hybrids so I have been careful not to keep unpaired birds of different breeds together. I am willing to take and able to drive to pick them up whatever breeds they are though. How many pigeons do you think can fit in my loft? Its 8 feet tall if that matters at all.I like to use the 1 gal. plastic milk jugs. Cut a hole about 3-4 inches above the bottom so they can stick their head in to drink. I was just wondering how close you are because my loft is small and at max capacity so I can only let my birds hatch babies if I know they have a home to go to. Otherwise I swap their eggs for fakes.

The black saddle homer that I have is a hen, I would be interested in at least one of the cocks. Do you have any pictures? What's the length and width?
My birds are all racing homers, except for two feral hens not allowed to hatch their own eggs. Currently I have 2 ash red split for blue, young birds that have not flown outside the aviary. They are about 3 months old, siblings and both cockbirds. If they would be of interest to you let me know. My advice is to try to keep a balance of cocks and hens.
I'll try to get some tomorrow that I can post. The black saddle homer that I have is a hen, I would be interested in at least one of the cocks. Do you have any pictures?
Yes you could. So in theory, I can capture pigeons from my local park (there are lots of them!) and condition them to stay in my loft by time, feeding, and training?
