What do people keep peafowl for?

2,000? That is WAY TO MUCH. Around here the most I have ever seen any is 300.00 for a pair. An adult pair of peafowl will produce no matter what thye are just trying to robb you.

Looks like you can get eggs in Windsor, Mass for $5. Peachicks in Lagrangeville, NY for $35. That would be 4 hours each way for me, but I've driven that far for Silkies!

I've been searching in my area (Syracuse), the entire state of NY & PA. I drove a little over an hour each way saturday to buy 4 India Blue Peafowl eggs.

When I search, I use the terms peachick, peachicks, peacock, peacocks, peafowl, peahen, peahens & pea. I do each search individually.

also.. get some india blues their the least expensive and very very very colorful..

100% Javas do not even cost that much, maybe it is a type o

You are right it is not a type o and Dark Pied pairs are very easy to come by, the guy is ether trying to cheat people out of their money or does no know what he is talking about.

I have been considering getting some peafowl.Mostly just need a hen.My neighbor has a beautiful India Blue cock, who pretty much lives over here and chills with the pony. I figured if I could find just a decent aged hen,I'd already have a boyfriend for her.He has been calling and calling for a woman...lol..Anyone nearby with any type of hen they wanna sell?
