What do people keep peafowl for?

I picked up three India Blues. They were 6 months at the time. Turned out to be two males and one female. Now I'll need to get another female or two.

I got them for $10 each. I had bought birds from this person before so he may have cut me a deal but I don't think he charged much more then that normally since they were not "sexed"

I too would like to know how hard it is to hatch them.

We keep peafowl because they are so beautiful, we had dreams of selling feathers, birds, and eggs for farm income.

The feathers are hard because of ebay imports, it seems like they are selling 30 eyes for 9.99 or under and I just dont see how they can do that.

We only sold a few IB babies on craigslist, but spent more time in emails educating people about the care and keeping of peafowl.

We are incubating 20+ eggs right now, some from ebay auctions(eggs to pair with our singleton varietys )- some from our mixed pen right now to have some babys to sell locally
