What do you do when this happens?

Aweee that's totally awesome! Good Luck! Keep thread posted of any updates.
I would go with the little coup option, that way you wouldn't have to move her and the hatchlings when they come.. That's my plan with a future broody, need separated space from the flock.

Moving them at night makes sense. Or just around bedtime. I have a large cage I can use. Do you let her out of the crate when you move them to the coop? Or just put crate and all inside? I have a little coop with nesting boxes I could move her to. Just trying to decide which would be less stressful.
You can leave it open if it is just her and she can cme and go as she wants. That' what I do but I have a nursry where it' just her in there(of course til the babies come... and I will leave her in there for a week or so then let her out with her babies. She will bring them back to the nursery when it' close to night and then teach them to roost with the big guys when time come.

Got them all moved. I guess time will tell if she sits or abandons the nest I made. She wasn't really happy when I finally left her alone. Oh, since there were more than 20 eggs I felt fully justified to set 7 in my little incubator.

I was more than a little surprised when I lifted her up and looked down. That was after I sneaked 3 out from under her butt.
I did that with my little game hen bantam she had like 14 under her... how she fit and hatched all them babies out, I have no idea!!!
But when they go broody they are very determined to finish the hatch lol

I hope she'll settle back down on them. It was dark and I didn't wanna keep shining my flashlight in the coop to see what she was doing.
