we are rather versatile here in Va yeast rolls are kina big here on the coast but here cathead biscuits are good too but if you crumble up bacon and throw that in the cornbread mix then bake it you might not get it set down good before it disappears

I had some quail but a stray dog either ate them or ran them off.

I got them from a guy and kept them in the pen for a while but it seemed like at least once a week one of the little birdies would escape. I finally just left the door open and they hung around the yard until most of my birdies were killed by a stray dog and then the quail just vanished.

I keep my quail because I find them pleasant. I like the noises they make, they are cute, they come in a variety of colors, and it's kind of fun getting quail eggs. I mostly keep them for pets, though. They are enjoyable to have around, they don't eat much, and I see no reason not to keep them.
