You need to be more specific in your question because as Cuda said there are game chickens and there are game chickens. Are you talking about American games as in the pit games? Game bantams as in exhibition type? Large Old English as in show birds? Or one of the many Oriental games?

They are all different in their temperament and reaction to each other. The exhibition types have had most of the "Game" bred out of them so they handle each other a little better. But they are still the best of foragers and parents. I will put my Large OE up against any breed for laying abilities except the breeds bred specifically for production. You will not find a more fertile egg to hatch than a Large game.
In my bantam OE and Modern games I have had a few man fighters but for the most part they are just as any breed with humans. I have never had a Large OE of mine be aggressive towards me.

I haven't had any American game for a while now but it is only because I don't have the room. I raise and exhibit Modern Game bantams and Crele OE in bantam and standard.

Since it's been decades since I had games (mine were out of fighting stock--no I never fought them nor would condone that), are you saying that the "exhibition stock" have some of the fighting instinct bred out so that you can keep more than one rooster?

Side note, I can't imagine what misconception would get anyone banned from this site.

Yes, when birds are bread for their looks, and not their gameness, they quickly loose that quality. As to getting banned, trust me on this, I won't violate the rules of this site by saying more. If you hop over to that link I supplied, I will be glad to talk about it though. Thanks.

So are you saying that you can keep more than one rooster w/out them fighting each other to the end as long as they are exhibition birds? If so, that's quite an improvement. Loved their looks, just hated that I could only have 1 rooster.

Not really, there is still enough game in them to make it an issue. I have some that were raised togather and are free range so they get along. Acually it is more like tolerate each other. They still sparr but will usually tire out.
I would not keep them penned in a small encloser. I will raise my young birds in a large pen til about a year old. This pen is 12' wide x 40' long x 8' tall. I will put about 25 birds in there and they will do fine. Once you seperate them to condition to show all bets are off, you can never put them back togather.

Were are talking about Large exhibition games here, the bantams are a little different.
