Good morning, someone recommended Scratch and Peck organic feed for my chickens. What do you all all think about this brand? And when I looked, I noticed that it said "duck" on it too. Please let me know. Thanks.

Scratch & Peck has acceptable nutrition. its popular w/i its market segment. I happen to think it is overpriced for what it offers, even w/i the Organic marketing niche, but that's a personal judgement. People do use it w/o complaint.

**IF** I thought organic was worth the extra expense, **AND** I didn't have good, fresh local options (I do), I would price compare Scratch & Peck and Kalmbach at my preferred supplier. Not every Kalmbach product is organic, but they generally have better nutritional numbers at similar price points.

My opinion only, worth not more than you paid for it, perhaps less.

Overpriced for the nutrition it offers, the organic label tends to make me wary because organic feeds tend to have close to the bare minimum of protein, lysine and methionine. Of course quality organic foods exist but the vast majority are mediocre nutritionally

^ this, so much this. with bare or below minimum recommends for Methionine being the most common fault.
