i have also never owned chickens

they will be pets so
All of those breeds can make fine pets.

Some people do not like Leghorns as pets, because they tend to be more active and nervous than some other breeds (but since the Leghorn is not what you want, that won't really matter to you. And some other people do like Leghorns as pets.)

my dad says sure
meaning we are probably getting chickens
i have only picked out two looking for a third that stands out the 2nd one i named lacey she is black with barely noticeable lacing anyone know what breed she might be

If you can post a photo, some of the people on here may be able to tell.

But sometimes it is really hard to identify breeds when they are young.
Also, she might be a mix, rather than any pure breed.

looked at them again today think the three we picked are

lacey is a wyandotte
whitney is a austra white
amber is a mix
