What do your neighbors think about your chickens?

Back to the original post, if they are your chickens and it please
you to set in your coop and be with your chickens...that is all that
I see as necessary.

If your neighbors don't like it, tell them to don't look.

As long as you are within your legal rights to own chickens in your
area, pay your neighbors no mind. As far as them threatening to send
their dog over...life is very simple. Tell them they're gonna need a new
dog.

Do not worry about what you enjoy! There are thousands of us who do the same....and none of us thinks you're weird for it! If that's all they have to talk about during a party,I feel bad for them!

we had a ton of dirt in our yard for a week once because we were getting our whole house remoldeled and adding on. But I said oh well who cares

the little kids love them , especially the new chicks---the adults like to come over now and then , they appreciate the fresh eggs right out of the nest---they may change their mind if i do get that roo i,ve been wanting

That neighbor who stated she'll send her dog to eat your chickens, has legally committed assault. You could press charges. Or, at least, file a police report. If you are within your rights to keep your chickens in your property, you are within your rights to do so without threats from others. Its always best to have a report, signed and dated, just in case they continue threatening your family or escalate their assaults into some form of vandalism (or worse).

BTW, God Bless YOU for keeping chickens with all you've been through. You're a hero for ejoying life anyway.

My neighbors like mine, but they have some too. And she is my 4h advisor and basically got me started into chickens. And on the other side is my grandma, so she doesnt mind them, other than my free ranging Peafowl that sound off on her house a poop on the porch. So I'm really lucky

I'm very jealous! I don't mind a neighbor here and there, but to live somewhere where I'm surrounded by acres and acres of land is a dream! I'm pretty sure the kids wouldn't like it though.lol
