What does everyone think of the egg carton method?

I am currently using egg cartons for the first time. I went out and bought new recycled cartons. I didn't bother cutting out the bottoms because the eggs I am incubating are bantams and the cartons are for full sized eggs so there is lots of air flow. It is easier and quicker to turn them this way. I hope that it works better than handturning each egg ...... I'll be finding out in just over two weeks time.

Thank you, Lily! I had a chick pip on the wrong side, even though it had the small end pointed down the whole time, and he made it out fine and is doing great but I was concerned about using the cartons and this happening. Thanks for telling me your experience with it.

I do have a flat, too, so perhaps I will take your advice and use that.
