What does this mean

I have two hens that sit for long periods of time with their mouths open. What does this mean?

Depending on where you are, they could be too hot.

they pount like a dog. they r letting in air and trying to cool off after being used to the cold weather.

If they are panting already at 73 degrees what am I going to do when it's93?

Just a thought...what are they eating? Too much scratch I've heard can raise their body temp.
