I just love males they will probably always be my preferred choice

I've heard people say they think male dogs are more affectionate, but my Dory was as loving as they come.

For me, I don't want to deal with a leg lifter, and I prefer a full belly rub. With males, you only get about 4-6" of clearance before hitting the lipstick tube.

Brew is SO affectionate LOL but I’ve known females that are too.

I don’t mind him sniffing and stopping every two seconds to pee LOL

Also with big dogs you get a lot more clearance.

yeah I get that! I’m sorry about Tucker I completely understand too, in this heat Chase is just gonna have to shut up and be calm because I’m not doing more than a twenty minute walk

He is normally good about not getting a walk fetch in the house is perfect. I know its because Denver is in heat he is acting this way. She is almost done and will be spayed early next year we are hoping. Wish i could find a vet that does OSS

Denver is affectionate most days. But some days she would rather be left alone. But she also isnt velcroed to me like Tucker. He has had such bad seperation anxiety since the move.

That’s good at least. Yeah that’s too bad. OSS seems to be the best bet for the health of the dog. Although don’t they still have heats? Just minus the blood? So I guess that wouldn’t help with the behavior of males right?

Yeah technically they do still go through heat , but she will be getting a traditional spay, the nearest OSS spay clinic is a bit to far. She is going to be a bit over 4 at the time of her spay she is fully grown and i like that she will have had 2 extra years of being intact. The longer you wait the better it is. Tucker and me have some big changes coming next year though
