this i agree with too. student led school clubs is a good way for kids to have safe after school activities that don't require a huge amount of money to invest in such as sports and other activities.
to say students can not have after school clubs based on their common interests/cultures/religions, is basically saying that under no way are you allowed tor each out to other groups and try and learn about each other.
student ran clubs are not usually funded by the clubs and are instead just groups of kids allowed to meet on school property to ensure a safe place for them to meet.
what is wrong with that? It is only wrong if it involves mention of their culture or group apparently.
