Those are called “hennies.” Its basically what you get when a rooster develops hen plumage in maturity instead of rooster plumage. I have never owned one, but they are popular among gamefowl enthusiasts. I am not aware whether there is a survival advantage or disadvantage in it or not.Do you know much about the coloration of these roosters?
Normally I'd think it wasn't possible to get browns like this in roosters but I recently came across these.
I suppose I'm used to the normal sexual dimorphism.
Many hennie gamefowl lines were known to be good fighters, so it would stand to reason that they have the grit where it counts.
They are beautiful in their own way.
