I have been documenting this project on another thread but it is more for my jungle fowl improvement project so I felt it was appropriate to start a new one to document these. The idea off this project is a large liege sized bird with good physique, and good for free ranging capabilities.

So here’s what I’m starting with

This is my Bruges fighter rooster who’s starting this off

This is his son who is 1/2 Bruges F 1/2 American Gamefowl who is coming out with better physique

Then this is 1/2 Bruges F 1/2 American Game pullet.

also I’ve got some brown red American Games that I’m going to throw in there as well. So that’s what I’ve got for them now I’ll go into a little more detail when I get a chance.

In this thread I’m documenting my jungle fowl hybrids and was documenting these.

Well about all I can do at the moment is keep breeding them back and keep them as close to an oriental as I can. Because I don’t have any oriental hens

Just curious on what your idea is on particular traits.

Are you wanting tight/hard sleek feathers, with little fluff, or hard feathered, & moderate fluff?

Tail set, high, low, or mid-set?

Leg length: Normal, Moderate, or long?

Head Size: Large, or small?

Here are some updated pictures of the Bruges x American pair
