Developing my own breeds of gamefowl and bantam

Got some pics of some of the birds the first one is the ½ AGF ¼ RJF ¼ OEGB pullet. The second one is one of the phoenix hens. The third one is of the what I take to be ½ RJF ½ Silver Phoenix hen. And the last one is of the RJF hen.

Well survival of the fittest is sure starting to play out now. 13 AGF a surviving so far 3 got killed by an unknown predator the other ones crop was clogged and she didn’t pull through. I’m disappointed in there size while there large compared to a jungle fowl they are small for an AGF most are probably 2.5lbs were as my other AGF are around 3lbs the one in the picture is 2 3/4lbs she’s got great physique so she’ll be one of 3 I’ll keep free range her if she nests in the bushes she can brood and rear her young without my intervention. I’m only going to keep 5 AGF hens 3 brown red AGF and 2 partrige hopefully I can pick another good partrige hen that’s bigger. For the silver Phoenix rooster I’m going to let him free range with 2 or 3 Phoenix hens, a BR AGF hen, two partrige AGF and Wheaton AGF and let them rear their young 100% themselves.

Also I forgot to add I have barred rock rooster my family ended up taking a liking to so unless I can find a home for him he will also be breeding the free range hens he's going to have to survive free range, thankfully his offspring will be easy to tell apart from the other roosters. It will be interesting to see what thier their physique, wings and free range capabilities will be like.

I turned out the ½ AGF ¼ RJF ¼ OEGB, she’s a good hen larger than a RJF, straight combed but still isn’t AGF sized and is a little off colored, so now she’s on free range and when laying season comes depending on who lives, but if they all live the silver phoenix, the barred rock, and possibly lanky’s son or the RJF/phoenix stag with these two it all depends on which one gets sold ideally I can sell both. When breeding season comes around I plan to have 8 hens on free range, and 7 hens cooped for controlled breeding and more or less as the year goes on. The main deal this year for this project is to produce plenty of straight RJF, I don’t plan to free range the RJF rooster at least until I get a fair amount of half grown stags and pullets.

Lanky’s son being 3/4 RJF looks very much like a RJF just with higher tail carriage

I don’t think I’ve posted any pics of the silver Phoenix since I got him, so here he is.

and finally some better pics of the RJF rooster.

Alrighty friends, lets start talking about a breeding plan for RJF brood cock this Spring.

I need some ideas on how to breed the RJF rooster this spring. here's what I have available:

4 American hens

the three phoenix hens

I haven't gotten rid of Lanky's son yet so if they give a little extra time i may get some chicks off him, but if they don't i can probably get some eggs from him crossed to an american.

the 1/2 American 1/4 RJF 1/4 OEGB pullet.

I’m also checking into some red Wahl aseel eggs, they are going to be mainly for the orientals but may be good for a one time cross with both the americans and the jungle fowl. but these won't be able to be used until next year

Any thoughts? I want to keep the birds as close to the RJF as possible, but significantly larger.
