Yes they do in the water but not a big deal if changed twice a day.

That's a nice feeder. That was one of the problems I had with my ducks and chickens standing in their feed bowls and then pooping also.

I use a big dog bowl on a big wooden plate. That way any food spilled will be eaten off the plate. Mine don't have free access to food though, so they usually eat everything quite fast. They've been surprisingly good at not pooping in it. Their water, however...
