If it's a dark brahma rooster over barred rock hen then the cross should be a sexlink with barred chicke being male.

So, that's a male.

I understand black sex links but I don't believe the Brahma is the father.
Brahmas are pea comb. Pea comb is dominate to single so if Brahma was the father then it would have a pea comb or a slight variation of a pea comb.
Everything about it looks female. No male hackle or saddle feathers, no crowing.
That's a pullet and needs to go on Maury to find its real daddy.

Yep. They're gonna end up dragging about 9 different roosters through 4 or 5 episodes but still not find the daddy.
The old barred rock will run around like a chicken with its head cut off for a while then throw herself on the floor cacklin how it couldn't be anyone else.
Baby daddy chicken drama.

I'm not going off the comb, because at 5 months a pullet could be laying, and have the large comb and wattles.
I was seeing male saddle feathers.
