My two coturnix hens have been laying for about 2 weeks but have been consistent in the past 8-9 days.

All of their eggs have been generally uniform in size.

One of them has laid an egg that is different.

It's bigger and heavirr than all the other eggs and has no speckles. It sort of a dirty yellow colour and seems to have a brittle shell.

There is also a hole in the bottom of the egg.

Any idea of what this could be?

The hole in the bottom appears to have been post lay - and is likely due to the apparently brittle shell you have noted. As they have only been laying for about two weeks I would just chalk this up to a glitch in the system as the bird gets their system up and running in tip top order. A step or two along the way in formation of the egg was either shortened or missed altogether (the layering of shell and the addition of pigmentation).

So is this something that I should be worried about or are they just figuring it out?

Most of the previous eggs bar the first two have been good (and tasty)
