What hatchery sells Columbian Rocks?

Yard full o' rocks :

Good morning all....SpeckledHen is right. I ordered CRs from Dunlap and they were NOWHERE close to being Columbian Rocks.

As good fortune would have it however, I found a fellow in Ga who had some real CR chicks (received totally by mistake, long story, but Cyn saw the pix of the parents and agrees that they are true Columbians) and I bought every one he had. They are true CRs. It will probably take a year or two of breeding to get the color "exactly" right, but, its much better than what I had.

Chicks are currently 5-6 weeks old. HOPING to have a few pullets laying by late June.

Hopefully I will be able to sell some eggs by Summer and between the BYC "flock" here we can begin re-creating a decent number of these across the US.

Have a great day!

Great news. I'll be waiting..............................

I'd probably be interested too Scott, can you please post pics of the ones you have now. I am planning on getting some light Sussex some to use in projects mainly, white are the same color as the CRs, but I love me some Rocks and the CRs are more rare than the the Light Sussex, but I'm also into preseveing rare heritage breeds, I plan on getting Black, White and Mottled Javas this year and probably SQ Barred Rocks, and I'd also be interested in CRs if they are good quality, and I would like to get Partridge Rocks if I can find a sourse of some really good quailty ones.
