What have I done!? Meyer's just called - END OF STORY ON PAGE 11

I will keep dipping their beaks.
The single BR is turning out to be a little bit of a bully. I am sure she will survive.

Amen !!

We got our baby bantam cochins from someone 1/2 hours ride away. It was like zero when we picked them up. I had the car all warmed up and we wrapped the carrier in a heavy afghan. They slept a lot the first day we got them home (3 days old) and it scared heck out of us. That is sort of normal as the ordeal of hatching takes a lot out of them.

Same for you, your younguns there hopefully will recover from the travel. As others stated, give them a little dip of the beak in the sugar water. You got the heat lamp setup ?? You should see some improvement during the latter part of the day.

All of us will continue to pray for them, you know after what you posted here we all feel and worry for them like they're ours.

Michael and Nan

ps: when they're real young they sleep like they're dead. Before we got ours we saw threads here talking about that. Even so, when ours looked like that we were calling the
lady we got ours from every couple hours. We had one little runt, we were sure we were gonna lose it, but it turned out fine, in fact it's the most precious rooster...

I have been watching this thread and let me just say...I was so relieved to see that you FINALLY got them! Just keep a close eye on the weaker babies and see that they get water. I had a weak on last spring and she thankfully made it through!

Congratulations on your new babies and

For the EE's!!

The three strong ones are already eating!
I gave the little ones a little more (warmed) water.

Here are the big ones pecking at their starter food:

I guess you could call that Postal Lag (like Jet Lag). Give 'em a lot of love. You know you got a lot of folks praying
and pulling for you and the babies. It's what makes this place so special.

I am so glad they are home and most of them seem to be doing good. I hope the little weaker baby perks up really quick. A lot of time they are just exhausted from the trip and seem extra tired for a bit. They are beautiful babies!!!
