What have I done!? Meyer's just called - END OF STORY ON PAGE 11

Honestly? You really want to know what I would do? If those chicks are alive they will be in need of nutrition and warmth. Fast, the hour could make the difference so yes, take the hot water bottle with you, take the nutrition with you and let them enjoy the warmth of the hot water bottle while they drink up for a bit, in your very hot car with the heater blasting. Then you will need to get going so put the water with gro-gel away in a frigoseal or such so it will not spill and put the chicks in your bra and drive home.

Yes you read that right. Snuggle up mom, they will need a fleecy cover over them too, unless you have a slight fever your not quite warm enough, but your better than a cold old shipping box, way better! And I mean that in the most complementary way, please don't misunderstand me!

I don't know if they will be there or not but I am guessing at some point they just have to arrive right?
I am really prepared to pick them up at the airport if I need to. I do not trust them to take them anywhere. I'd rather they just call me as soon as they land or something.

I don't mind playing hen. I'll need to look for one of my prime time nursing bras to fit 5 chicks in there though... That's a lot of chicks (hopefully) and I don't have much room to spare (have a young nursing baby)...

Oh excellent idea! I have a great second chick holder bra for that.
I just hope there will be chicks left to hold

I'll be thinking positive for you.

Beware they tickle really bad. A loose fit that is not snuggy feeling to them will encourage rooting around looking for the right resting place. Avoid rib areas if your susceptible to giggling yourself off the road!

I think I would cancel the bra idea. A handwarmer pack would be great though. Honestly, the chicks in your bra could cause you to have a wreck and that isn't going to be good for anyone. Once they are warmed up and the car is warm, they have some water and nutrients of some sort....they will be fine in the box. I always leave the top off for the drive home so they can get plenty of heat. I think there is an EXCELLENT chance that your babies are alright.

Cool!!! Or....welll......warm!!!! LOL Sounds like it will last just fine then!!! I really hope these little sweeties are all healthy and chirping when you meet them. Did you mention here what kind they are? If so, I missed that.
