What have you done today to save money?

I dried my laundry on the line and today is the first day that the second of my 3 takers of 40 minute showers didn't have one because he moved out last night!

I saved $67.00 in coupons at the market AND 30 cents per gallon on gas because of it.

Hung the laundry out on the line
Made bread from scratch
Made pasta sauce and pasta from scratch (using up eggs mostly)
Picked salad greens from the garden
Made iced tea instead of buying juice

Hi! I didn't *spend* any money today, so there is that.
Dinner was fresh grown here (green beans and fried squash) and grown here from the freezer (chicken, of course).

hmm....made pancakes this morning from a homemade mix
sent a roo off to freezer camp this morning--two more go tomorrow
made bread this afternoon
didn't do laundry today but when I do I hang it on the clothesline
mixed up a batch of homemade laundry soap--looking forward to trying it!

Didnt spend a cent on the custom outdoor brooder that I made.
(Might have to though...unless I can find about a foot of chicken wire laying around...)
My bf gave me a dollar today. I was tempted to spend it, but I shoved it in my wallet and said "Must beef up the chicken fund..."

I traded a dozen fresh duck eggs to a neighbor who will come over with his auger and drill a bunch of post holes in the rock and clay for me.

bought my hunting license today. i'm going after venison and wild hog. one of each will be enough meat for my family for most of the year with just a few chickens that i will harvest.

Were going to get our fishing license tomorrow.
