What have you done today to save money?

sent an email instead of making a LD call, dont have a cell phone hence the LD service i'm avoiding, made eggs-n-dog food omlette for the dogs to supplement their food, am out there right now weeding the garden and throwing 'em to the chickens, and then am re-planting volunteer 'maters from last years garden, and using lots of composted chicken litter to keep the weeds down!

whew! its hot and i could use a big ol' frappucino but i'll have a cool refreshing glass of water instead

Harris Teeter. they take competitor coupons but only the ones that take $$ off the total, not for individual items. and mine said they would consider wags (even though there's not one around for at least 7 miles) RRs. and I think the manager talked to someone at corporate and found out that they will be reimbursed for them because they say manufacturer coupon on them. they will technically scan anywhere because of the way they are coded. never hurts to ask if they take them!

Ooo nice, I should ask the grocery stores around here. My hubby works for Walgreens so we're always shopping there and getting register rewards.

I took my son to the health dept. to get his immunizations... since they're free there and our insurance doesn't cover them if we get them at the dr.'s office, we saved at least $300!

We also grow our own veggies and our first pepper of the season is almost ready

Today I sucked it up!!!

(I'm a penny pincher by nature but a girly girl too.)

So I went to get my oil changed $40!!!!??? ARGH! Oh well... they suggested I replace my air filter and I needed to refill my coolant AND replace my 3rd brake light.

So instead of having them do all that on top of it... I drove to Autozone and got my own light, coolant and airfilter and replaced it myself!!!!

So add that to my super coupon clipping ways and it really made my day... can't wait to see my husband's face that I did all that. (I did think about doing the oil change, but I really am not equipted with a 2 year old in tow.)
