What have you repurposed while building ?

We recently disassembled and old wire dog crate that was on it’s very last limb and use that wire to close the opening under the coop. And my mothers old vinyl floor that she took up and replaced. As far as re-purposed seeing you should see my garden it’s like re-purposed city. Trelisis made from almost anything you can imagine
And we also made the goats a cat walk with pallets to come in and out of the shelter where it gets good and mud we after dealing with hoof rot

What are Staff quarters room in an out building? Is it a fancy way of saying out house? All the little odds and ends I bring home I don’t usually consult with my husband first because it will be a big no what do we need that junk for. It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission sometimes. LOL but when it comes in handy I don’t rub it in his face too bad. Ha ha
Nothing fancy - it’s a room that’s part of a separate building to the main house where staff were intended to stay (cleaner, nanny for example).

My chicks didn’t seem to care what it was supposed to be and i put it to much better use :D
That’s what I love about chickens they don’t care what it looks like or what it was supposed to be as long as it has enough room keep them dry and healthy they love it. I’ve never heard one complaint about not liking the color of the floor or the wood not matching

Bifold doors make great coop doors!
