What have you repurposed while building ?

I got them from a fencing company. Apparently they throw away the old panels they remove from their job sites. We asked, and they said we could take as many as we wished. So nice!
We have a fencing company nearby that takes their old wooden fence they removed and set it out by the road. And their rules are if it’s sitting by the road it’s free to take. You don’t even have to ask you just come by and pick it up. Unfortunately recently the pieces of been so big they can’t fit in my truck

anybody have ideas for a coop suitable for five chickens?
Well you’re definitely at the right thread. For five chickens you could probably use pallets. I’ve helped someone make a coop out of doors
Too. My friends father used to work for a company that made doors and all the ones that weren’t sellable he would take home and just about everything in the yard is now repaired or made with doors. It’s pretty awesome. Picnic tables the coop even the roof to their big giant shed

i’d love to see a pic though once you find one. I’m loving all these re-purposed Coops
Here's one with a bit less snow in it. I think you can see the leg size in here. The former window in the door now functions as an opening to get birds and food in and out. It's not predator proof, but it makes a fantastic run for quarantine situations.
