What have you repurposed while building ?

Reclaimed wood from a porch demolition. Big enough for 12 hens. I Have enough material for a second roost.

An old bunk bed frame...

Cover one side with hardware cloth...

Drag it into and through the run, flip it over HC side up positioned at the far end of the run...

Ready to plant clover, grass, marigolds, dandelions, whatever, underneath by lifting it, placing plants or seeds, set it down, and watch them grow through the slats and wire. Chickens can eat fresh greens. I can move it to a new spot and start again while the gang destroys the newly revealed patch.
Gotta get planting!

Repurposed a baby barn into the duck/chicken house. That’s about as creative as i am oh but we did make the window.

Thanks! I bought my home close to a year ago and knew when I saw that baby barn it would be great for ducks, so I got a couple ducks, then just recently added some chickens. I threw a dog run on the back, added a shelf, a couple nest boxes, a sand pool, a water pool a chicken swing and you have “the waddle on inn” duck and chicken house

The adult Muscovy teddy does. Muscovies have longs claws so they can roost in trees. Shes kinda like a chicken too. She always lays her eggs in a nest box which from research I’ve read is uncommon for duck I guess they just lay their eggs anywhere, or try to hide their eggs.

I made a thread, but let me show off this again, since I'm proud of what my father and I have done.

We had an above ground pool once. But then a rather silly mole dug through the liner. This part of the deck was the last thing we had. I'm glad we kept it! It's made the two coops we got into a Mega Run!

We haven't added my girls yet, but I'm excited to see how they like it!
