Many years ago, I saw a woman slap her crying child in a shopping cart, My wife and I were Christmas shopping, when "wally world" first came to town. I walked up to her and said "if I see you slap that baby one more time I'm gonna slam you upside the head" she says well this is my child, and i said, "then go ahead, slap her again and see what happens",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,she moved on.

I simply hate going there. I do, but I hate it. I feel bad for the people that work there. They are not treated well.

One cashier was very rude. I was just about to tell her that if she "wasn't a people person"' to go work someplace else. Then I changed my mind and asked her if she was ok.
She said she was diabetic and that she hadn't gotten a break all day and thought she was going to pass out. She was sick and looked bad.
Another time I had to be the one to walk over to the inhouse bank and get a teller change because no supervisor would come (I couldn't leave until I got my $)

I was a Walmart scene...

When DS#2 was in the terrible twos he was a wild handful (he's fine now at 18). He was in an energetic, good mood and in the main basket (because it kept him from running amok). I forget what sass occurred, but I was bending under a rack to pick something up as I gave warning not to do that (you get one warning, that's it). He giggling, turned, dropped trou and wiggled his full moon at me! Instantly I lunged in full intent to who-knows-what, cracked my head on the rack so hard I sat down hard and watched the stars and repeatedly told my son just how lucky he was his mommy is a klutz or he'd have really gotten a full spanking in Walmart in front of everyone. DS was concerned, truly. He got the more effective toy removal at home anyway. I just so still have this mental photo of the wiggling na - na -na - na thing.

PS It takes alot to get me into a wally or similar these days. Or the mall.

Those pictures . . . ouch. And I noticed a ton of them are from Texas.

The worst I've seen was when all the evacuees were here from Katrina, so I couldn't really fault them . . . but honestly, I love knowing there's a place I can go to where I can wear absolutely anything and people won't blink an eye, because odds are there's worse over in the next aisle.
