The answer better be 30-40 full-sized hens and 10-20 bantams, 'cause that's what I have!

I'm currently using an 8x10 metal building, which has roost space for 30 hens plus nest boxes. My bantams are still in the brooder.

I'm thinking that I'll divide the building down the middle and keep full-sized chickens on one side and bantams on the other, with space up front for feed and stuff. Sorta like this:

I'd like to hang nest boxes with door access on the storage side of the building so I can collect eggs without having to step in chicken poo. But it's all just dreamin' until I can actually stand inside the building and see how big it is.

Oh, and I'm not going to use ladder roosts this time because everybody wants to be on the top rung. I'll just keep all the roost space at the same height.

OMG, I'm praying nothing goes wrong with this deal! I'll be on pins and needles until it actually arrives.
