Welp, it’s basically official. So long as she doesn’t re-injure the site/open up the wound before it finalized healing, OG and I are done with this saga. Vet looked at the scab that’s on it (the one left after she shluffed off the 1/2” thick scab and sutures) and says everything looks okay. She was a little more optimistic that it’d have been fully healed by now but she says ultimately there’s no reason to believe anything is wrong. OG is just healing slow from the two surgeries (that were, in fairness, sorta brutal).

So we’re home and finally have no more pending appts. One of these days I’ll start a new thread for general purpose blabbing and duckpdates (LOL)

Been busy around the home and kickin some butt but man I’m tired of that 1.75 hour drive (each way) and am glad to hopefully be done with them! ❤️

I'm glad OG is pretty much all better and you can stop driving her fluffy butt around!

You don't know how happy I am to hear this news! To be quite honest I have been afraid you would end up losing her anyway after all this $$$$ and trouble.
Thank goodness she is one old gangster duckie! Tough as nails that one is :celebrate
Give her a big hug and kiss for me.

No don't.. .she will hate that. :lauGive her a handful of peas for me :love

Wow, I don't know HOW long it took me to read this thread but it was worth it! I was addicted by page 2. :p And I just had to follow along, step by step to see how this turned out. :)

@DuckyDoodles I am so glad your baby is doing better. They sure know how to push our emotional stress buttons, the worry they put us through! You did what it took, went above and beyond to care for her, she knows she's loved. I hope she heals completely!! :hugs

And to all you members that stepped in to offer your wonderful knowledge and those that volunteered to drive a million miles to help, all of you are fabulous!! :bow

Great thread! :)
