What is a "Tetra Brown?"

HTTP://www.tetraamericana.com. Tetra Browns have existed for over 40 years. There is also a separate management guide in PDF for Tetra owners of all colors on this site. So Tetra Americana is a newer USA purveyor of the stock originated by the 40yr. Old Hungarian hatchery/breeders. Interesting , i didn't know that. Best , Karen

I got 3 of them from TSC last week. They are the nicest chicks I had so far (comparing to last year)
I saw them in the Hoover's Hatchery Catalog.
Here is a picture of it...

400

Hope this helps

I finally have my new chicks! I got 7 ISA browns from TSC. The Tetra Browns were gone in a matter of a few days Here is my modest setup:

And here is a closeup of my sweet little babies:

As soon as the weather gets better up here in way upstate NY(2' of snow on the ground right now) they will be going into an old 5' x 3' rabbit hutch that has more room. It will be placed next to the chicken run so the little ones and big ones can get use to each other through the fence before I put them together.

My TSC has had Tetra Browns many times. My curiousty drove me to asking the young woman that was working with chicks.IMHO, She must have been really good at chickens, like me and others on here, because she said:"There isn't anything Thats a 'true' Tetra Brown.A Tetra Brown is just a Rhode Island Red, BO, Red Star or anything red or buff like color.Basically, They think they have a breed Thats much diffrent, they have no clue what it is, so they just mark it Tetra Brown. But these right here are Rhode Osland Reds,"
That's what she told me :idunno:
