Get her on some high protein feed asap, like Feather Fixer. That will help. So glad you were able to get her!

If she is the result of frizzle to frizzle breeding - she will have brittle feathers that break off easily.

Her previous owner’s didn’t know what to do bc her other larger chickens were extremely aggressive towards Becky and so she was kept separated from them for her own protection. I saw a picture of her and thought she just had a naked neck.... but didn’t realize the extent of her lack of feathers until I brought her home! Is this due to lack of sunlight the past 7 months? What breed is Becky?

Are the "frizzle" feathers a problem for the chickens that have them (if they are well-kept and fed, I mean)? We breed animals that we consider 'cute' because we *can*...and don't always consider the effect the changes may have on the animals that are bred. Any of the smooshed-in faced dogs, for instance, that have shortened palettes and other medical problems.
To me, it seems it's going too far. If anyone disagrees, Google "Damascus goat". I had no idea anyone would be going this far and actually breeding what seem to be monstrosities.

Unfortunetly, if this girl is frizzle to frizzle bred, as said above, her feathers will be more fragile. And I think if that's the case, then yes... its a travesty, because it makes her more irritable.
Well said, about the breeding things just cause their 'cute'. I know, unpopular opinion... But I hate pugs for this reason. And English Bull dogs... etc. I look at them, and the problems they have, and think 'the poor things'.

WOW! That is a long time without sunlight. Sorry this is more off topic but I would recommend giving her Poultry Booster by Rooster Booster. (Like this one: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/rooster-booster-poultry-booster-125-lb)
This will give her a lot of the necessary nutrients she may lack. Oyster shells and grit with greens should help too. 3 in 1 Hydro hen (Like this one: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/rooster-booster-poultry-booster-125-lb) may help with her to get some of the necessary probiotics and just help her. You can get all of this at your local Tractor Supply Co. (or maybe your primary feedstore).

She is such a beauty! Thank you for taking her in. Please do update us on her journey. You also may expect new and healthier feather growth at the end of summer. Just feed her some Feather fixer like Nutrena's (At TSC).

Becky update! It’s been a week and she’s doing great. Getting along with the other bantams she’s with and yesterday she laid her first egg since I’ve had her. I’m hoping that means the extra vitamins are helping!
